Subject: State Park Camping Update

Dear DNR Customer:

As you are probably aware, the Indiana General Assembly has not passed a state budget.

In the event a budget agreement is not reached, many non-essential state services will be shut down beginning July 1.

Regrettably, one of the casualties would be the closure of state parks and many other properties managed by the DNR.

While we fully anticipate a budget will be passed by the deadline and anticipate no interruption in service, we felt it necessary to alert our customers of the outside chance that a closure may occur and how it might affect visitation to our properties.

To our valued patrons, especially those with campground or inn room reservations, we are counting on you to pay attention to the news in the coming days. We will do our best to keep you informed.

If customers with prepaid reservations are unable to stay at campgrounds or inns as a result of a shut down, they will be eligible for a refund for nights they are unable to stay due to closed facilities.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to serving you in the future.
